The Preset 10 family of controllers are DMX512 playback/lighting control stations capable of storing up to ten presets. Presets are recorded by capturing the output of a DMX512 console. Each preset can then be assigned a unique fade time, from 0 to 999 seconds. Presets are recalled by pressing one of the buttons.
Each Preset 10 controller can work in conjunction with a lighting console, automatically switching between preset and console control. When the console generates DMX, the Preset 10 goes off-line, and the console operates normally. Upon loss of DMX from the console, the Preset 10 either returns to its previous preset or holds the last look (jumper selectable). In Combine Mode the Preset 10 Architectural Two merges the levels from the console with the levels of the currently active preset.
The solid aluminum faceplate of the Preset 10 Architectural (PRE10A) is designed to install over a standard single gang electrical box. Connections to the PRE10A are power (2 wires), and DMX512 (3 wires). Power may be supplied from a variety of sources, including a 10V class 2 "doorbell" transformer.
There are two versions of software available: PRE10A and PRE10A-POPO. The original PRE10A offers "Radio Button" operation, where only one preset may be active at time. The new PRE10A-POPO offers ten HTP presets. Each of these ten HTP presets are capable of being turned ON or OFF individually.
Each PRE10A can work in conjunction with a lighting console, automatically switching between preset and console control. When the console generates DMX, the PRE10A goes off-line, and the console operates normally. Upon loss of DMX from the console, the PRE10A either returns to its previous preset or holds the last look (jumper selectable).
The Preset 10 Architectural Two (PRE10A2) is a further development of our popular Preset 10 Architectural controller. The Preset 10 Architectural Two offers new features and different wiring options. The new features of the PRE10A2 include a grand master, pile on mode (input + preset), jumper selectable button modes (radio or push on/push off), face panel lockout, and a two gang form factor that allows PRE10A2 to fit in all two gang back boxes. The PRE10A2 has separate input and output ports allowing merging incoming levels with the local preset. This cascading of inputs allows multiple PRE10A2 and a live theatrical console to share control. Systems can also be created where multi-room control is required by a single dimming system.
Systems can be created by using one or more stations and a power supply. The solid aluminum faceplate is designed to install over a standard two gang electrical box. Connections to the Preset 10 Architectural Two are power (2 wires) and DMX512 (3 wires). Power for the Preset 10 can be supplied from a variety of sources, including a 10V class 2 "doorbell" transformer.
The Preset 10 system also comes in a portable version (PRE10-P) that acts as a backup station for any DMX512 lighting console or as a stand-alone DMX512 preset console.
When operating as a backup device, the PRE10P monitors the DMX512 output from your lighting console. If console output is lost, it begins transmitting to maintain the current look and alerts the user to the loss of DMX. Crossfading to any of the stored presets is then initiated by pressing a preset button
