The DMX Terminator plugs into the XLR feed-through connector of the final DMX512 device on a control cable. It improves signal reliability by preventing reflections and reducing ringing. A "happy" LED indicates a strong signal. Three Tranzorb transient-absorbing diodes suppress spikes caused by electrical storms. Radio frequency interference (RFI) is bypassed to chassis by the .001uF capacitance of the Tranzorb diode.
The Terminator II is an economy version of our XLR DMX512 terminator. It lacks the transient absorbers, RFI protection, and "happy" LED at about half the price of the original terminator.
The T45 is a DMX512 terminator for systems that utilize an RJ-45 style connector. The T45 is suitable for use with DMX512-A and Color Kinetics installations. T45 consists of a RJ-45 male connector with an 120 Ohm 1/4 watt resistor between pins 1 and 2.
Some fixtures that use RJ-45 connectors:
Martin - Cyclo Directional, Stage Cyclo, Stagebar 54
