The RC4 Series 3 W-DIM4 is a high-power 4-channel DC dimmer for props, set-pieces, turntables, and more that operates on the W-DMX platform. A genuine Wireless Solution W-DMX radio transceiver is built-in for compatibility with numerous wireless DMX systems from a range of manufacturers. This flexible unit combines the best RC4 Wireless features with W-DMX, like super smooth LED dimming, high powered halogen dimming, servo-motor control and more.
The most powerful wireless dimmer in the W-DIM class, the W-DIM4 provides four dimmers with a total current capacity of 42A — that’s 500W at 12V, 1000W at 24V. The device works from 6VDC all the way up to 35VDC, and is perfect for use with the 30V battery belts common in the film industry. Like all RC4 dimmers, the W-DIM4 features a variety of dimming curves: Non-Dim, Non-Dim Inverted, Linear, Linear Inverted, Inverse-Square-Law, Inverse-Square-Law inverted, servo motor pulse clockwise and servo motor pulse counter-clockwise.

The W-DIM4 easily drives 500W of crisp 12V halogen lighting, and, thanks, to RC4 Digital Persistence™, brings unparalleled smoothness to LED dimming, with a range of eight persistence periods emulating a variety of halogen lamp sizes.
All RDM features are available using a wired DMX connection. Wireless RDM is available as an option, requiring the installation of an RDM-capable W-DMX card and an RDM-capable W-DMX transmitter.

Anderson Powerpole connectors are provided for connection of the power supply (+/-DC IN red/black) and load devices (+/-DimA yellow/grey, +/-DimB yellow/grey, +/-DimC yellow/grey, +/-DimD yellow/grey). The supply powers both the internal electronics and the connected loads. Dimmers switch on the negative side of the circuit, ideal for common-anode (common positive) LED tape. Dimmer output voltage is precisely the DC power input voltage with no appreciable losses within the 42A total power handling limit of the device. When operating at or near the maximum power capacity, Anderson 45A pins must be used at the power input, all wiring must be appropriately sized and in compliance with applicable electrical codes, and external fuses or circuit breakers should be used at the power source and in each individual dimmer circuit.
The DMX mini-plug port can be used with a range of RC4 DMX cables, including 3-pin and 5-pin male and female XLR adapters. The most common adapter is the RC4DMX5FA with 5-pin female XLR connector.
