Just a friendly reminder the FCC mandate for narrow banding is coming into effect soon.
As of August 1st Titan Radio will only be sending out narrowband capable radios. This will cause a conflict when purchasing new radios to add to existing radios programmed to wideband. The good news is that Titan Radio is one of the only radio manufactures that will allow the end user to program their radios.
Don’t worry, StageSpot has you covered! There are two ways to go about reprograming Titan Radio radios to comply with narrowband:
Purchase a Titan Radio programming kit. This will allow you to reprogram your radios at your convenience. Note: the programming kit only works with Titan Radios and the programming cable is proprietary.
Or send in your radios to Titan Radio. Titan will reprogram them for free, provided you pay shipping both ways.
Please note that the FCC did expect everyone with wideband equipment to convert their equipment or replace it by January 1, 2013.
Titan Radio has gone to great lengths to make sure that their equipment is easily adaptable to the ever-changing government requirements. In the long run this saves consumers hours of frustration and cost in replacing outdated equipment that may not even be that old. We appreciate their willingness to give our customers guidance and options in updating equipment to be in complete compliance.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience but this is a government mandate via the FCC. More information on the mandate can be downloaded here.
