It’s that time of year again, touring and show season is upon us. Before you take your dance on the move, make sure your showcase has everything you need: gobos, floor cleaner, and tape.
Gobos add great value to your production. They are used in conjunction with specialty lighting fixtures to project an image onto a floor, wall, or ceiling. There are thousands of stock designs available such as stars, snowflakes, and several geometric and abstract break up patterns as well. Floor cleaner may seem like a strange item. After all, it’s just a floor, right? Marley floor is special. Household cleaners can harm the dance floor and cause it to crack. Using an all purpose floor cleaner once a week followed by a quick mop with plain water will help keep your floor in tip top shape. Be sure to use a cleaner specifically designed for marley floors. Once or twice a year, it’s a great idea to use a heavy-duty floor cleaner to strip and deep clean your dance floor. During spring-cleaning is a great time to give your floors a little extra love. It’s easy to remember when it was done last and it’s easy to remember to clean it this time next year.
